The Department of Acting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of our University celebrated 27 March World Theatre Day with great enthusiasm.

The 27 March World Theatre Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our Ayazağa-Maslak Campus, in an event organised by the Department of Acting, Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul Beykent University.

The Department of Acting of our University celebrated World Theatre Day with a festive event. This special day, celebrated with the participation of students from the Department of Acting, evolved into a theatre festival featuring a variety of vibrant shows and performances. The event, guided and moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazım Sarıkaya, was enriched with diverse performances including live sculpture, pantomime, flamenco shows, poetry readings, and dramatic interpretations. The event continued with songs composed by Lecturer Doğan Balcı, the Singing Instructor of the Department of Acting.

The event, which commenced with an enthusiastic cortege in the courtyard of our University’s Ayazağa-Maslak Campus, continued in the Adem Çelik Conference Hall. Following the presentations of national and international messages, the storytelling performance by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazım Sarıkaya was met with great appreciation by the audience.

Introducing Little Virgin

The play Little Virgin (Küçük Virjin), directed by Res. Asst. Derya Özsoy from the Department of Acting at our University, also offered the audience an enjoyable experience during the event. Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazım Sarıkaya, the playwright, expressed that creating the production through collective effort as a department was both productive and enjoyable. At the conclusion of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants in recognition of their contributions.
