General Information

Our course programs are prepared in accordance with the six language skill levels determined by the European Language Portfolio (ELP). In addition to the courses organized as seven weeks-long courses, accelerated courses in the Summer Semester and courses in the evenings on weekdays are offered based on the demand.

Placement Test is applied before the registration to the courses. Placement Exam is held between 09:00 and 16:00 every day of the week. Student Affairs is open between 08:30 and 17:30 on weekdays.

Course fees are in USD. Registration fees for classes that cannot be opened due to reasons arising out of BU-TÖMER, shall be refunded.

Registration freezing shall be made upon a valid excuse, and class change shall be made, if possible, in the first week of the registered course; subsequent applications shall not be accepted and no fee shall be refunded for the course period during which the student shall not attend.

Courses at BU-TOMER continue 12 months a year, 7 days a week, between 09:00 and 21:00, excluding national and religious holidays. Course hours canceled due to reasons arising out of BU-TOMER shall be compensated.

In order to open a class, the minimum number of trainees determined by the BU-TÖMER Board of Directors must be reached. At least eight students are required to open Turkish courses. In the applications to be made as a group, special classes can be opened at one or two-month periods with a specific schedule of days and hours. It is up to the institution's administrators to continue or close classes, to change class hours, to change classes and teachers. Students are required to attend %80 of classes.

During the interim course pars without exam, the course instructor observes the student in terms of four basic language skills with the performance evaluation and decided whether he/she passes the upper level or repeat the same level. In interim course pars with examination or courses awarding a certificate and diploma, a course completion examination is made in the last four hours of each course par. The trainee, who is successful in all skills, passes to a higher level. Trainees who fail a skill are taken to a single course examination. There is no Single Course Examination for the Diploma Examination. The trainee who fails at the end of the course has to repeat the same course par by paying the course fee to pass the upper level. In order to pass all the skills in the exam, it is necessary to get the following minimum scores:
